An Orchard Themed Engagement Session
I’m so incredibly excited about this blog post!! Eric and I have known each other for as long as I can remember. His mom’s sister is my mom’s best friend and she would watch us everyday after school from elementary onward. Not only that, when I went to college, I worked for Eric’s dad at the campus convenient store. I grew up with this family and consider them an extended part of my own family. So much so that I call his aunt my aunt, his uncle is my uncle, his cousins are my cousins (more like sisters!). You get the idea, I could go on and on!
So, you can imagine my excitement when Eric and his fiance Courtney, reached out to me about being their wedding photographer. I was touched to say the least. I love my job and being able to work with people I know and love makes it even better! I obviously haven’t known Courtney as long, but I knew they were a perfect match almost immediately. You know those couples that just mesh and you can’t imagine them ending up with anyone else ever? Yea, that’s these two. They balance each other out in just the right ways, being similar in some aspects and total opposites in others. They are the best of friends and have been for years. That’s why when Eric popped the question, everyone’s response aside from congrats was FINALLY! 😉
Fast forward to a few weeks ago when I met up with them for their engagement session, it felt like friends just hanging out at the local state park taking pretty fall pictures! I had the best time and had to remind myself I was there to do a job, not just socialize haha! I think we did a pretty good mix of both though. I’m super proud of these images and truly feel like I captured their genuine love for one another. Eric and Courtney, this blog post could EASILY be 3 pages long with recounting memories, letting you know how much you both mean to me as lifelong friends, and how incredibly happy and lucky I feel to be able to serve you on one of the most special days of your lives together. But I need to keep this short so without further ado, enjoy some of my favorites from your engagement session!
