I’m going to be honest here and tell you that it’s been so long since I logged onto my blog platform, I literally forgot the web address to get here hahahaha. I haven’t blogged in forever!! Honestly the motivation to do so just kind of went away with the whole pandemic thing as well as other things but I’m excited to be back and even more excited to share this blog post with you all. And cheers to the real MVP my computer, for remembering my password to make this possible LOL.
I had originally gotten an inquiry from Alli’s sister Courtney to photograph her wedding, but with the state of the world changing plans, I wasn’t able to do so, but we hit it off so well via email, when her sister Alli got engaged, she recommended me and I’m so incredibly grateful that she did! I’ve known Alli’s fiancé Jared for as long and I can remember, so getting to meet his other half was so special to me. Jared is one of the most genuine, kind hearted people you will ever meet, and after chatting with Alli in person, I could tell she’s the exact same. They complete each other so beautifully and after the first 20 minutes I felt like I was just hanging out with my friends at the local state park taking pretty pictures. Seriously, I haven’t laughed that much in such a long time, I had an absolute blast! Not sure if their pup Zeke felt the same, but he did great regardless!
Alli wanted snow for their session and we ended up getting the perfect amount a few days beforehand. The only downfall? The temperature…guys it was C O L D. We need to take a minute to bow down to this Queen who not only ROCKED her second outfit, but did so in 20 degree temps. I actually had my maternity photos taken in similar weather, so I knew she was numb from her head to her toes from the below freezing temps. I worked as quickly as I could and honestly the last part of their session with that glow, almost kind of maybe made freezing worth it 😉
I’ve said it before, but being chosen to capture such a monumental moment in someone’s life is so incredibly special and means so much to me, even more so when you know the couple personally. Alli and Jared, thank you SO MUCH for choosing me as your professional third wheel for this next step in your journey together. I wish there was a way for me to accurately express just how much it truly means to me, and I hope I did you proud by these photos! October can’t come soon enough 🙂
