This wedding was so special to have been a part of! Not only was the venue where my husband and I were married, it was also the wedding of the daughter of my favorite college professor! I loved every minute of this day, even the rain couldn’t dampen any moods. It was an intimate celebration with no shortage of love, friendship, and happiness.

I arrived the morning of Janna and Eric’s wedding to a calm getting ready space (thank the lord, there’s nothing better!) Janna and Eric were getting themselves ready, making sure all the final details were in place, and were making sure to keep their nerves in check and just take in the magic that is the morning of a wedding day. I quickly grabbed some getting ready shots just to have and soon after I arrived it was straight into portraits on the lawn before Mother Nature told us otherwise. Janna and Eric aren’t one’s who appreciate the over the top overdone traditional elements. Instead, they value the small details that make things special and unique to who they are as individuals and as a couple. Because of that, I had such a blast documenting every portion of this day. It was obviously still a wedding day in the end, but it was so special and warm and welcoming and just a little bit different from a traditional wedding day and I was all for it.

From the moment I arrived to the moment I said goodbye, I felt like I was one of the crew and there’s really no better feeling than that. I don’t want to be just another vendor on a wedding day, I want to be a friend, and I truly feel like I was at Janna and Eric’s wedding day. Thank you so much you two, for inviting me into your lives and sharing such a special day with me. I loved being able to freeze these memories in time for you and wish you both every ounce of joy, happiness and adventure life has to offer! I know you’ll make the most of it 🙂
