Janna and Eric brought the sunshine with them for their engagement session and I was living for it. We ended up meeting at Point au Roche on what turned out to be a very cloudy and overcast day, but it didn’t matter. With Janna’s beautiful citrus dress and Eric’s oatmeal suit, I was in photographer heaven! I loved walking around the park getting to know them as a couple and hearing about their wedding day plans. It’s always so important for me to hear my couples expectations of their big day ahead of time, that way when I show up to do my job, I can tailer the experience to fit them as a couple instead of putting them in a cookie cutter mold. Janna and Eric are anything but cookie cutter. They have such beautiful personalities that showed themselves almost immediately! Eric was a bit harder to crack, but in no time I had him laughing and the three of us were getting some beautiful shots if I do say so myself 🙂 Fun fact, Janna’s mom Ona was one of my favorite college professors back in the day! Ona and her other daughter Sarah even made me some birthday cupcakes one year curtesy of my mom and they were so delicious! I was trying to convince Janna to have her mom and sister make her wedding cake for their big day and if so, I would 100% be leaving with a piece for the ride home haha!
Janna and Eric, I can’t wait for your big day! It’s going to be beautiful and unique and tailored to you two as a couple which are honestly my favorite kinds of weddings to photograph! Counting down the days!!
Update: Since I’m so behind on blogging, this beautiful wedding already happened and it was perfect in every way! And yes…I did go home with some delicious homemade cupcakes!! 🙂
