A Picture Perfect June Wedding Day

The feelings surrounding the first wedding of the season are hard to describe.

Excitement

Anxious

Joyful

Nervous

It’s somehow all bottled up into one whole emotion I now know to expect come every season. When it first hit, I honestly thought I wasn’t cut out for this career, but then I realized it’s all because I care so deeply about this job and the couples I serve. Couples like Schayna and Jeremiah.

To know them is to love them. To take a page from Schayna’s tear-jerking vows, I truly feel sorry for anyone who doesn’t know these two humans. (She said the same about people who don’t know Jeremiah). We clicked immediately during their engagement session and I have been counting down the days to their wedding since we said our goodbyes.

I knew it was going to be a beautiful day visually, what I didn’t know is how beautifully heartfelt it would be as well. Real talk, if you’re ever at a wedding I’m photographing and you see me with my camera up to my face without taking it away, it’s because I’m hiding the fact that I’m crying, yep, it’s true. And this wedding day got me MULTIPLE times. I’m not ashamed, just so incredibly honored I had the privilege of being there to witness everything from a front row seat.

Schayna and Jeremiah, being your professional third wheel was such a joy and your day is one I will be replaying in my head for the foreseeable future. I can’t wait to follow along on your journey through life together, building up your own family traditions while honoring where you came from, every step of the way. I love you both!
