An early Spring family session at Point au Roche State Park
This session was so special to photograph! Leah is the talented florist behind Black Swan Floral Design and does absolutely incredible work! When she reached out wanting a family session, I was so excited! We’ve worked together on weddings before so I knew firsthand how sweet of a person she is and was thrilled she trusted me to capture her family memories!
Family sessions are slowly but surely capturing my heart and the more families I photograph, the more my love for them grows. I used to only want to photograph weddings, but I can feel myself starting to pivot and wanting to take on more family sessions. I value and prioritize my own family photos, so when others value and invest in me for their own family, I am always beyond grateful and don’t take the responsibility lightly. My work will be on peoples walls, like WHAT?! What an honor!
I love what I was able to capture with the McDaniel family, even though the leaves weren’t quite out yet. That glow, those smiles, their organic interactions, that’s what family sessions are all about!
