Ilana and Scott made my engagement session dreams come true a few weeks ago! You see, I live pretty close to the SUNY Plattsburgh campus, and maybe it’s the hopeless romantic in me, but whenever I would drive by, I couldn’t help but think how absolutely adorable it would be to photograph an engagement session on the campus of a couple who met and fell in love there. Insert Ilana and Scott here! They met when their paths crossed as Biology majors where Scott was a TA for Anatomy and Physiology Lab that Ilana just so happened to be taking. It was actually their professor that suggested they made a cute couple but they didn’t see it! After graduation, they both went their separate ways, but ended up connecting 3 years later and the rest is history!
I remember reading through their email and my jaw just dropping; I couldn’t respond fast enough! It was like a dream come true and they even wanted to bring their dog for some photos! Dream EMP couple 🙂 Because of Covid and rescheduling, I can’t be with them on their wedding day, but I’m so thankful I got to spend this quality time with them. They are such happy people on their own, and together they are quite literally perfect in every way. We walked around the campus, specifically the building where they met, and documented their love story on the perfect summer evening.
