Fun fact, even though this was Rulfs 7th Annual Strawberry Festival, this was my first time attending! My good friend Hannah invited me spur of the moment and I’m so glad she did because we ended up having a blast! I honestly don’t know why I have always evaded invitations to these things, I guess I just thought they would be boring and the thought of picking my own strawberries made my back hurt just thinking about it… #noshameinmygame. BUT it wasn’t boring at all and I’m happy to say I had a lot of fun walking around Rulfs property and documenting my first strawberry festival!
Even though it was sprinkling on and off the whole time we were there, it wasn’t enough to stop us from enjoying ourselves. There are so many things to do and eat which makes it a great family activity. Hannah and I went straight for the food tent – strawberry shortcake anyone? After we indulged, we took a wagon ride to the fields where you can pick your own strawberries. We didn’t end up picking our own, we were just there for the ride. You don’t have to be a kid to enjoy a good wagon ride 🙂
Thank you Rulfs for giving families (and kids at heart like Hannah and myself!) something fun to do on what otherwise would have been a dreary and boring Saturday afternoon! Enjoy some of my favorite shots of our time at the festival!
Casually making friends along the way
Strawberry picking!
She’s just the cutest 🙂
My grandfather and his good friend were selling cards featuring their own paintings!
Thank you again Rulfs and congrats on what looked like another successful strawberry festival!
