Where Rustic Charm Meets a Modern Vibe
If you have been envisioning a barn venue with original wood touches paired with updated amenities for your wedding or event, let me introduce you to The Barn at Pine Stone. Located just 12 miles northeast from Lake Placid, New York, this venue is sure to check off all of your must haves between its spacious interior (120 ppl max), newly renovated vintage camper turned drink station, fire pit, designated cocktail hour space complete with wine barrel tables, on location mountain view ceremony site, and to top it off, some of the nicest venue owners around.
I made my way out to Wilmington, NY to meet up with Rick and Rene to check out their new venue and was immediately impressed. My amazement just went up as I heard more of their story. What started as a dilapidated barn from the late 1700s has now been turned into a charming and inviting space, mostly reconstructed by Rick and Rene themselves. They brought in some friends for the more challenging projects, but 90% of what you see is the pride and joy of Rick and Rene, and it shows.
My favorite part about this venue is how nothing went to waste. The ceremony arbor is made from the original wood beams, the ceiling in the new bathrooms is made out of the original roof of the barn, the barn itself is mostly original aside from the roof, windows, siding and addition. I’m just such a sucker for nods to origins and Rick and Rene honored the original barn so well. Their heart behind this project is so apparent and I can’t wait to see what becomes of this business venture!
