A Point au Roche Engagement Session | Plattsburgh, New York
Another 2019 #erinmariecouple engagement session is here and let me tell you, it’s a fun one! After my couples book me as their wedding photographer, the next step is to start planning their engagement session. It’s one of the most important parts of being an #erinmariecouple and if I’m being perfectly honest, I don’t take no for an answer 🙂 It’s the time where my couples and I really get to know each other, it allows them to get comfortable in front of my camera, learn all the poses and just have fun together! It also allows for the portrait time during the wedding day to go that much faster because they are pros and know exactly what to do! Anyway, Mikaela mentioned that they had already taken some photos of themselves for their engagement photos and as I mentioned earlier, I politely didn’t take no for an answer and I’m SO happy that they agreed to meet up with me last Thursday.
I knew the session was going to be amazing as soon as they both stepped out of their car. Before engagement sessions, I send out a pretty detailed email with tips and tricks for the best experience. This includes hair, makeup, and outfit tips, and I could tell they took it all into consideration. Their outfits were ON POINT which made their images that much better.
We started their session down by the water where I taught them all they would need to know for the rest of our time together. We then continued on down the main trail and circled back around and finished right where we started. There was a TON of laughing and chatting about our fur babies. Mikaela and Tyler are animal lovers just like me so of course we bonded over that and if you know me, you know I’m ALWAYS up for talking about my fur babies. There was also a lot of squealing (from me, not them) because…well, just wait until you see some of these images!!
Mikaela and Tyler, thank you for allowing me to convince you to do an engagement session! I hope you both had as much fun as I did. Enjoy some of my favorite images from our time together. I can’t wait to see you both next year for the big day!!
