Rainbow Wedding & Banquet Hall | Altona, NY
Kelsey and Michael were dream clients from the very beginning and I still wonder how I got so lucky to be their photographer. Kelsey follows along with my adventures via social media and is always commenting and giving me support and love and it just means the world to me. She is genuinely a kind soul and cares about me as a person, not just my work (even though she’s one of my businesses biggest cheerleaders!)
I remember back when she first inquired with me, she mentioned that her and her fiance wouldn’t need an engagement session as part of their wedding package, and I will admit, a red flag went up in my head. You see, engagement sessions are SO important to me and my business because I don’t want to be just another vendor on a wedding day. I want to be a friend, someone that my clients trust and can count on to take care of things if need be. I want to know who I’m photographing so I can do it in a way that speaks to them in the final gallery. Now I’m not saying every gallery is drastically different, but if I don’t know who a couple is, I won’t know what to look for, what makes their day special and unique to them, and for me that all starts at the engagement session. So, when Kelsey wrote that they weren’t really interested in an engagement session, I politely nudged and convinced them to do it. And guess what? They agreed and not only that – THEY. HAD. A. BLAST! Kelsey emailed me afterward their session and told me they were so glad they changed their mind and how much fun they had with me. That was a huge win in my book!
When their wedding day came around, I was excited not just because it was a wedding, but because I knew I was about to spend one of the most important days of their lives with them. I loved interacting with Kelsey and Michael’s close friends and family, watching the incredibly touching video Kelsey made for her Dad before their dance, seeing Michael and his mom share the sweetest mother-son dance, seeing Kelsey burst into tears when she found out her niece had surprised them with a speech. It was truly an incredible day to be apart of and I’m so thankful that they picked me to be there. Kelsey and Michael, I can’t thank the two of you enough. Your support and trust means the world to me. I loved being a part of your wedding day and I hope you enjoy reliving your day through some of my favorite images. Love you guys!
A very special thank you to the amazing vendors who helped make this day beautiful!:
