A Point au Roche Engagement Session | Plattsburgh, New York
I love when my couples have years of history behind them. There’s just a sense of confidence, comfort and honesty that they share together and Jesse-May and Austin were no exception. They have nearly a decade of history as a couple and if you ask me, that is definitely something to celebrate! They spent the majority of their engagement session joking and laughing and just enjoying the time together even though it was COLD. They were champs and it made my job that much easier, which was perfect because they traveled over 4 hours for this so the images had to be good 😉
Jesse-May and I actually met years ago through a mutual friend and never did I think I would be photographing her engagement session, let alone her WEDDING in just a few short months! I was excited to catch up with Jesse-May and meet her fiance, Austin for their session. Jesse-May said they wanted a woodsy feel to their images and I think we were able to capture just that, even with all the snow! If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll notice that I’ve done a few engagement sessions at Point au Roche which you would think might start getting a little boring for me but it’s actually the complete opposite! Because I want each of my couples to have their own unique experience, I challenge myself to not fall into a comfort zone of what has worked in the past. I have my style that I stick to, but that doesn’t mean I have to do the same routine over and over again. It keeps things fresh and unique and just another way my couples get a special experience.
Even though these images were captured in February which up here is known to be a cold and grey time of year, there’s just something so warm and inviting about these images and I’m excited to share some of my favorites from my time with Jesse-May and Austin. Enjoy!!
