Point au Roche Engagement Session

Husband: Hey! How was it?
Me: It was great! They are such a sweet couple, we had so much fun!
Husband: …You say that about every couple…
And he’s right!! I really do say that about every couple, but it’s because it’s true! I’ve been lucky enough to work with the sweetest people, and Shonna and Josh are no exception. They are one of those couples that are just so easy going and fun to talk to, I had to tell myself to stop chatting and take some more pictures while I was with them! We just seemed to have so much in common there was never a shortage of conversations to be had. Pair that with the perfect location and summer glow, I was a very happy photographer 🙂
Shonna and Josh actually went to high school together but didn’t connect until the summer after their first year of college. These two were meant to end up together, that was obvious to me after the first 10 minutes I spent with them. They balance each other out with their personalities, they make each other laugh, and Josh will do just about anything if he knows it will make Shonna happy. A perfect example would be getting ready for this engagement session! Shonna was making sure they looked their best from their hair to their outfits, and while she was adjusting and prepping Josh, he just stood there and let her do her thing, not without making a funny face at the camera of course 😉 But you could just tell he didn’t mind getting his hair fixed, his outfit adjusted, he didn’t mind any of it because it’s what made Shonna happy. How sweet!!
I’m so glad I convinced them to take advantage of the complimentary engagement session that I include in my wedding package. They weren’t going to originally because they actually had a photographer there to capture the proposal and then took some photos immediately following. If you’ve been following along and are an avid blog reader, you know I don’t take no for an answer! 🙂 Hopefully after seeing these images, they will be happy they took advantage of it too!
