A United Methodist Church & Elk’s Lodge Wedding | Keeseville, New York
I’m officially in my busy season with this being my second wedding in two weeks along with multiple other portrait sessions and I’m loving it!! I’m learning A TON, I have the sweetest clients, and I’m getting to do what I love now more than ever and I couldn’t ask for anything else. It’s what makes me so grateful for the clients that have trusted me since the beginning with their memories, clients like Katie and Eric.
Katie and Eric were married in a beautiful intimate ceremony at the Keeseville United Methodist Church and afterwards, took a tractor ride just up the road to their reception at the Keeseville Elk’s Lodge! It was a gorgeous day that was filled with the cutest little details that added up to the perfect celebration of the two of them coming together as one. Katie was one of my first clients to reach out to me about being her wedding photographer. I remember going home after our first initial meeting and calling my mom to tell her that I had just met THE SWEETEST girl and how lucky I felt that she reached out to me even though I was literally only TWO MONTHS into my business. Katie and I hit it off from that very first meeting and became fast friends. I remember her messaging me after she saw people posting pictures about the #michaelschallenge and the next thing I knew, we were doing our own take on the challenge!
I was so honored that they picked me to be their photographer and it’s something I don’t take lightly. I have a lot of people tell me they would HATE to have to shoot a wedding because it’s too much pressure, but that pressure is what fuels my fire. What’s even better is when your clients believe in you 110%. I truly believe that Katie believed in me more than I believed in myself when she booked me. I was new but I was determined, and I think she felt that from the very beginning. I’m so happy that our life paths crossed, and even happier to say I’ve gained a beautiful friend.
Katie and Eric, I hope you both had an absolute blast exploring Maine these past few days! Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to document the beginning of the rest of your lives. I had a blast meeting your families and seeing you all become one unit was so special. Keep enjoying life together the way you do so well! Enjoy looking back on some of my favorite moments from your big day!
