I don’t think I’ve ever blogged one of my family sessions before, but that changes now! Family sessions and mini sessions are such a huge part of my business, it’s only fair they get the same amount of time and attention on my blog as my engagements and weddings!
This family is so special to me. Not only are they super sweet repeat clients, but Brett LeClair (the red-headed beauty!) was my second shooter for a ton of my weddings this past year and I loved working with her! She’s got a natural eye for photography and she makes my clients feel so comfortable and at ease which is exactly what I want them to feel. When Brett reached out wanting to book a family session, I was so excited and couldn’t get them on my calendar fast enough. We decided on Point au Roche which ended up being the perfect backdrop, I mean just wait until you see the colors! So vibrant yet soft, just the perfect summer family session.
I always try to get the “unicorn shots” out of the way first. You know the ones I’m talking about, where everyone is looking and smiling at the camera. It’s much harder to do with younger kids, but since everyone at this session was over the age of 3, I knew it would be easy to get those shots out of the way first so that we could just have fun the rest of the time! Here are some of my favorite shots we were able to capture during our time together!
