And the award for my most laid back couple of 2020 goes to……LAUREN & JUSTIN!!!! I say this out of total love and they know it, but guys I can’t get over how easy going these two are, seriously! If I could bottle up their energy and personalities and sell it, this world would be fixed or at the very least, headed in the right direction. Not only are they easy going but they both have such sweet souls and care about the little things just as much as the big things. Fun fact, their farm name, Sapeliro, is a combination of their kiddos names, and it totally works! How unique is that?
One thing I do for all of my couples is I send out a Bride & Groom questionnaire about a month or so before the big day. Its purpose is to not only tie up any loose ends, but it also asks for vendor information so I can give credit when sharing their images on social media and on the blog. Well, Lauren called me about a month before their wedding and had me laughing when she lovingly explained that she didn’t want me to think she was being rude when she sent the form back with little to nothing, because they were just doing everything basically themselves! I assured here that was totally okay and we ended up having a great conversation about their wedding plans, kids, their plans as a newlywed couple after the big day is over, and it made me appreciate them so much more. I really got a feel for who they are and quickly realized that they don’t sweat the small stuff because there are about 1,000 other things in their lives that they would rather put their energy into and after having a daughter of my own, I can really appreciate that mentality!
Lauren and Justin knew they wanted their big ticket item for their wedding to be photography. It kind of caught me by surprise when they told me this, talk about an honor to be picked!! They both set out individually to find a photographer and both came back to me. I was so touched!! Unless couples hire a videographer, pictures are all they are going to be left with after it’s all said and done, and Lauren and Justin knew they didn’t want to settle. I can’t even begin to say how grateful I am!!
Lauren and Justin, thank you from the bottom of my heart, truly. It was an honor to capture your beautiful day. Everything was perfect from the florals to the four-legged guests! I loved every minute spent with you and your family and I hope these images are just what you hoped for to remember your wedding day. Cheers to a lifetime of adventure!
