A Summer Point au Roche Engagement Session
I knew this was going to be a magical engagement session when I was location scouting just before Katelin and Eric showed up. No, it wasn’t because I found the perfect glow through some trees, or because all of the spots I wanted to use were miraculously free of other people, or even because it looked like the rain was going to hold off…nope, it was because I crossed paths with the cutest baby fox who let me get a few good pictures of him before scurrying off. I never seem to be in the right place at the right time for these kinds of things but this time I was AND I had my camera at my hip ready to go. It was amazing. If you know me, you know that foxes are my favorite, so I couldn’t help but get good vibes for how Katelin and Eric’s session was about to go. Not only that, but from the email interaction I had with Katelin, she seemed like such a sweet person, I couldn’t wait to meet in person! The wildlife spottings didn’t stop there either…while I was photographing Katelin’s gorgeous ring, a massive raccoon ran right out in front of me…AND at the end of the session, a fish jumped out of the water in front of Katelin and Eric! Unfortunately I didn’t have my camera up and ready so you’ll just have to trust me! Talk about a Pocahontas inspired engagement session! 😉
One of the very first things I plan with my couples after they book me is their engagement session, so when Katelin emailed me and said they would like to get some pictures with their dog and cat, I knew we would get along from the very beginning! Tuukka, their German Shepard, and Calvin, their gorgeous fluffy cat, were so well behaved, I’m so glad Katelin and Eric brought them along. It made me want to get all dressed up and have professional photos taken of me with my fur babies!! And that rain I mentioned a bit ago? Well it did hold off the entire time and I ended up walking through my door just before the downpour… talk about perfect timing! We seriously couldn’t have planned it any better. We were even treated to some glow that I love so much at the very beginning of the session. It was just perfect!!
